Đϊaçřiţicăŀ [Diacritical]

/publishing design /manifesto design

This book is small protest spread into seven brands that portray the identity, feeling and tone of diacritics that are often forgotten. Forgotten by all those cool type foundries and type designers out there, because designing only for the English language is much easier.

And if you still don’t understand, try and type the title of this book in Google Fonts and see how many of the typefaces out there contain all the diacritics.

Statement:

Diacritical is an aesthetic warning about the loss of personality. It’s an awareness episode about that character that disappeared two seasons ago. It’s an exclamation point for all the fonts that are missing out. Missing out on the flavor that all diacritics can bring if they are properly included.
